Their diverse range caters to everyone in a family, from elegant menswear to vibrant kidswear and stylish ethnic wear for women. However, like any business, they encountered specific challenges, notably in their Raiganj outlet, which struggled with low customer retention and coupon redemption rates.

Our Objective: Increasing Customer Retention and Coupon Redemption

Our objective was clear – boost customer visits during a specific period and increase coupon redemption. Citi Style turned to eWards and leveraged our ‘Instant Gratification’ feature. Two strategic campaigns were initiated, each designed to encourage customer engagement and interaction.

The Instant Gratification Campaigns:

  1. Raiganj 200 on 1000 Gift Voucher (Aug 23rd-30th, 2023): This coupon campaign targeted customers, offering them a special voucher, ‘200 off on 1000.’ Customers could avail of this discount from 11th to 25th September.
  2. Raiganj 200 on 1000 Gift Voucher 2 (Aug 31st-Sept 5th, 2023): The second campaign, ‘Raiganj 200 on 1000 Gift Voucher 2,’ presented customers with an exclusive discount opportunity. This voucher was redeemable from 11th to 25th September.

Comparing the Results

To truly gauge the impact of these campaigns, it’s essential to compare the results with a
baseline. This baseline consisted of four separate coupon campaigns run on a brand level with
varying parameters. The goal was to understand how ‘Instant Gratification’ influenced customer
engagement compared to scenarios where no such feature was in play

Coupon Campaigns Without Instant Gratification

  1. Coupon: 200 off on 1000 (May 2nd-31st): This campaign issued 8387 coupons, with only 20 redemptions, resulting in a redemption ratio of 0.23.
  2. Coupon: 250 off on 1000 (June 22nd-31st): In this scenario, 53016 coupons were issued, but only 154 were redeemed, yielding a ratio of 0.29.
  3. Coupon: 15% off (July 20th-Aug 31st): With 33830 coupons issued and 53 redemptions, this campaign had a ratio of 0.15.
  4. Coupon: 250 off (Sept 22nd-Oct 1st): During this campaign, 22941 coupons were issued, but only 25 found redemption, resulting in a ratio of 0.10.

The Impact of Instant Gratification:

Now, let’s compare these results with the ‘Instant Gratification’ campaigns:

  • Raiganj 200 on 1000 Gift Voucher: This campaign achieved a redemption ratio of 14.07%. Over 10% of customers targeted through this campaign returned within the next 45 days.
  • Raiganj 200 on 1000 Gift Voucher 2: The second campaign attained a redemption ratio of 10.05%.
